Privacy Policy
framed · Last updated 23 August 2026
framed collects no data. Your photos are processed entirely on your iPhone and are never uploaded, transmitted, or shared with anyone, including us.
Information we collect
None. framed has no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising identifiers, no accounts, no login, and no third-party SDKs. The app contains no networking code, so it cannot send data anywhere even in principle.
Your photos
When you choose a photo, framed reads it in order to display a preview and to render the framed version. All of this happens on your device, in memory.
- Your original photo is never modified.
- Photos are never uploaded to a server.
- framed does not keep a copy of your photos after you close it.
- The finished image goes only where you send it, using the standard iOS share sheet.
Photo library permission
iOS asks your permission before framed can access your photo library. framed requests it for two reasons:
- Reading the photo you select, so it can be framed.
- Saving the finished image back to your library, but only when you choose Save Image from the share sheet.
You can review or revoke this permission at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Photos.
Settings stored on your device
framed remembers your last-used frame settings, such as the aspect ratio, border width, and border colour, so the app opens the way you left it. This is stored only on your device, contains no personal information and no photos, and is deleted when you delete the app.
Data sharing and selling
We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose any information, because we do not collect any.
Tracking
framed does not track you. It does not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA), does not participate in any ad network, and does not link any activity to you or your device across apps or websites.
Children's privacy
framed is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children under 13.
Third-party services
framed integrates no third-party services. When you export, iOS presents its own share sheet; anything you then send to another app or service is governed by that party's privacy policy, not this one.
Your rights
Privacy laws such as the GDPR and CCPA give you rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Because framed holds no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to retrieve, correct, or erase. Deleting the app removes the settings stored on your device.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date. If a future version of framed ever collects data, this policy will be updated before that version is released.
